I love to tell the story, for those who know it best seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song, ’twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.
“I Love To Tell The Story,” Kate Hankey and William Fischer (England, 1866)
Who Is She?
Grace and peace and good things, friends. I’m Madison. I live in Minneapolis with my incredible husband, our equally incredible daughter and our ham of a rescue dog.
I was raised, baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – the ELCA, for short – and from the time I was in middle school, I felt called to be a pastor. That calling took me for a series of wild rides, and ultimately led me to a career in social enterprise instead of ordained ministry. However, I’m still lucky enough to call many theologians my good friends, and to serve as a contract preacher and devotional writer in the Southwest Metro.
I guess you could say I’m pastor”ish” now. And that means people will ask from time to time if my messages are available in one place. Welcome to that place.
